Express Vanilla Matcha Latte

1- In a 500 ml jar, add

2 tsp matcha tea powder (culinary grade)

1 tsp honey

1/2 tsp vanilla powder*

1 cup plant-based milk

2- Fill in jar up to 3/4 with boiling water

3- Put on lid and shake.

I am a big fan of ceremonial matcha tea. Sometimes, though, I am in a hurry or just cannot afford it, but am still in the mood for a soothing hot beverage. In those cases, I find that this version of a matcha tea works wonders without making a dent in my wallet. The addition of vanilla hides the bitterness that often comes with a culinary grade matcha powder. Also, this latte is great since all you need to make it is a jar. You don’t need a special whisk, and since all you need to do is assemble and shake, it’s perfect when you are running out of time. If some powder gathers at the bottom, simply shake it again and you are good to go !

*or 1 tsp vanilla extract. Vanilla powder has more depth of flavour and is more subtil. Also, you are eating the whole food, which is always a plus :).
