Energy Bites

1- In a food processor, chop

2 cups almonds *

2- Add

1 cup cacao powder

1 cup dates

1/4 cup apple sauce

3 heaping tbsp nut butter

2 tbsp ground flaxseed

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

*For a chunkier texture, chop less. For a texture resembling no-cook brownies, chop for longer.

This recipe is very handy for a quick healthy and tasty snack. I strongly recommend using peanut butter as a nut butter. You can barely taste it and it adds a little savoury taste to the bites that make them that much more satisfying.
